Teaching 2nd Grade

I can't believe it is already summer time!  My 3 1/2 months of teaching 2nd grade have been wonderful and I have grown to love Del Rosa Christian School, it's staff members and all the sweet students!  Working in a Christian environment is great and this sudden opportunity to teach 2nd grade has been a HUGE BLESSING!   The Lord has taught me so much in the past few months and I thank DRCS for allowing me to grow as a teacher, a believer and to be a part of their team.  I believe in what DRCS is doing in the students lives and the mission they are setting out to accomplish.

When the opportunity came for me to teach this 2nd grade class, I knew it was the path God wanted me to take.  My husband and I both earned our teaching credentials in 2011 and have been searching for teaching positions since then.  We were substitute teachers for a few years but about a year ago, my husband had to take another job that would provide benefits.  This job was dangerous and difficult.

I then was hired with DRCS and like I said, fell in love with the school.  We had been praying for the past few years that God would direct us and lead us to where he wants us to work.  With that being said, I know with all my heart that I was supposed to be at DRCS to finish the year but now the Lord has provided a job opportunity for both my husband and I at another location. We will now be co-managers at a retirement home in Redlands. This opportunity will allow us to work together, actually see each other (We were working opposite hours) and follow the Lord's plan for our lives at this time.  I am not sure how long we will be there but this means my short but special time at DRCS has come to an end.  I am terribly sad to leave this wonderful, joyful school but confident that my husband and I are listening to and following our Lord's guidance.

I am extremely thankful for everyone at DRCs and the warm and friendly welcome they gave me when I joined their team and I am now even more thankful with their support and encouragement as I leave.  Pastor Steve has been extremely supportive and understanding with my situation and I am thankful for his encouragement.  I am very sad to leave this amazing school where I have grown and had so much fun pouring into the lives of my students but I'm so thankful that my God has a plan for my life.

Thank you DRCS for allowing me to be a part of your team.
Thank you parents for letting me love your children.
Thank you Lord for always providing and being faithful.

God Bless you all!
